Polling Place Change!

Polling Place Change!

The Department of Elections has been informed by the Delaware Art Museum that, due to concerns related to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the facility will not serve as a polling place for the November 3rd General Election. Voters in Representative District-Election District 04-02 are assigned to this polling location.

When informed of this, the Department immediately began to seek for a suitable location nearby that could house the relocated polling place. Voters assigned to the polling place at Delaware Art Museum will be redirected to the Blue Ball Barn at Alapocas Run State Park (1914 West Park Dr, Wilmington, DE 19803). The facility has more than adequate capacity to handle the 1,680 voters assigned to Delaware Art Museum, is fully accessible, and includes ample parking. New polling place cards notifying voters of this location change were sent to voters on September 30th.

The Department will also share the updated information on our website, on the iVote voter portal, on our social media channels, and in any election-related advertising.

An additional note: although Representative District-Election District 04-02 does not include any voters in the City of Wilmington, as the Delaware Art Museum is within city limits, the Department is providing notification to political party contacts for the City of Wilmington and the City Council member who represents that district.

Thank you for your understanding. While this is change is out of the control of the Department, we are committed to minimize any inconvenience to voters.
