HB212 Passes House

We’re one step closer to rectifying a problem in our original plastic bag bill and ending the use of single-use carryout plastic bags in Delaware stores. The House passed HB 212 Wednesday, which would phase out plastic carryout bags from all stores, regardless of size, beginning July 1, 2022. This has been the result of hard work from advocates and my colleagues Rep. Valerie Maglio Longhurst and Rep. Eric Morrison. On the Senate, and hopefully Governor Carney for his signature soon.
