Expansion of DE Relief Small Business Program to $150M

WILMINGTON, Del. – Governor John Carney on Thursday announced an expansion of Delaware’s DE Relief program, which provides direct grants to Delaware small businesses, and the Rapid Workforce Training and Redeployment Initiative, which provides rapid re-training for Delawareans who have lost jobs or income due to the COVID-19 crisis.

Polling Place Change! The Department of Elections has been informed by the Delaware Art Museum that, due to concerns related to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the facility will not serve as a polling place for the November 3rd General Election. Voters in Representative District-Election District 04-02 are assigned to this polling location. When informed of this, the Department immediately began to seek for a suitable location nearby that could house the relocated polling place. The second application round is now open for Delaware Relief Grants.

To help these businesses recover, Governor John Carney, New Castle County Executive Matt Meyer, and the Delaware Division of Small Business have launched the DE Relief Grants program. This program will provide at least $100 million in grants to assist Delaware small businesses and nonprofit organizations affected by COVID-19.

State of Delaware Launches COVID Alert DE Mobile App

The free mobile app – available to anyone 18 or older who lives, works, or attends college in Delaware – uses Bluetooth technology from Google and Apple to securely and anonymously alert users who have been in close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19.
